/bid

Place a bid on an active auction across any server where you're a member and the bot is active.

Usage

Type /bid in any channel where the bot is active.

Process

1. Initiating the bid:

   • Type /bid to start the bidding process.

2. Entering your bid:

   • A modal window will open for you to enter your bid amount.

   • Enter the amount you wish to bid in the specified currency.

   • Submit the modal to proceed.

3. Selecting an auction (if applicable):

   • If multiple active auctions are running across any servers where you're a member, you'll be presented with a select menu to choose which auction you want to bid on.

   • This includes auctions from the current server and any other servers where you're a member and the bot is active.

   • If only one auction is active across all your servers, your bid will be automatically applied to that auction.

Important Notes

• "Multiple active auctions" refers to auctions across all servers where you're a member and the bot is active, not just the current server.

• Ensure you're bidding on the correct auction if multiple are active, especially when bidding across different servers.

• Bids must be in the currency specified for the auction.

• You can place multiple bids on the same auction:

  • Each bid is treated as an individual bid, not summed together.

  • There's no limit to how many times you can bid on an auction.

• Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted or modified.

• The highest individual bid wins the auction, not the sum of a user's bids.

Bidding Strategy Tips

• Consider the value of the item being auctioned.

• Remember that you can't see other bids, so bid what you think the item is worth to you.

• Be aware of any minimum bid increments if specified in the auction description.

After Bidding

• You'll receive a confirmation that your bid was placed successfully.

• The bot may react to your bid based on the server's configuration.

• You can use the /my_bids command to view your active bids.

Troubleshooting

• If you encounter any issues while bidding, ensure you have the necessary permissions in the server.

• Check that the auction is still active and accepting bids.

• If problems persist, contact a server administrator for assistance.
